About Us
Palm Tree Academy, a distinguished institution dedicated to the holistic growth of students. We are proud to be a part of the WASHATAA Organization, an entity deeply committed to nurturing young minds physically, intellectually, psychologically, and socially. At Palm Tree Academy, we believe that every child has the right to education, good health, and protection from violence, abuse, and exploitation.

Our Goals
WASHATAA organization came up with the idea of opening a Cambridge school with a considerably affordable fee that the middle-class families can afford whereas children from unprivileged families will be sponsored based on specified criteria.

Our key goal is to support children from extremely poor families/underserved communities, by enrolling 10 students under PTA Africa full sponsorship. The rest of the students will be paying school fees as instructed in the enrollment form; in order for the school to be able to grow and be self-sustaining in its day-to-day school operations.

Project Legacy
We engage in a variety of initiatives, mostly in Tanga (Muheza) where the roots of our major project (AFRIHOVCC) are. These initiatives include caring for orphans, children coming from extremely poor families and the HIV positive in local schools and health clinics. The AFRIHOVVC project offers scholarship programs, and ongoing support for children at Muheza, a district which the very first founder of this idea (Mama Agnes Mbwana) is from. However, it is our great wish and legacy to extend our services further, to other districts and regions across the country.
AFRIHOVCC
AFRIHOVCC stands for Africa Help for Orphans and Vulnerable Children Care. It is a major project of WASHATAA organization. This project deals with supporting orphans, vulnerable children (including children with disabilities, HIV/AIDS and those coming from extremely poor families) all through their educational journey from primary level to higher learning, as far as they are able to excel, supporting them with necessary school items such as school uniforms, shoes, socks, school bags, textbooks, stationary, medical care, maize flour, beans, cooking oil, rice and fish. AFRIHOVCC supports the children throughout their educational journey from primary to university level or vocational training until they are able to attain their career goals. AFRIHOVCC activities include school and home visits for data update, monitoring and evaluation of students’ progress, distribution of school facilities.
